Organization Description: Green Skill Academy( GSA) is a first of its kind institution set up in the country to train employed and unemployed persons in the areas of water management, energy efficiency, renewable energy, green construction and so on under a single roof. It has been established by the Centre for Sustainable Development, a reputed organization working on sustainability issues for more than 13 years with support from the National Skill Development Council, under the Skill Ministry of the Government of India. The GSA will be headquartered in Bengaluru, with centers in other places.
Job Responsibility: The Chief Coordinator will be responsible for setting up and running the courses on a regular basis. He/she will ensure effective management of a course and delivery of a coherent curriculum.
The incumbent will oversee the external accreditation processes and alignment of delivery with accreditation requirements. He/she will ensure that student assessments are done from time to time as prescribed by the GSA in consultation with Quality Council of India.
The Coordinator will work closely with other academic institutions and industry to strengthen the course value and ensure that the quality of content and teaching is one of the best and is suitable for employment and skill up gradation. He/she will monitor the student enrollments, admission procedures, attendance, and graduation.
The Chief Coordinator will report to the Director of the GSA.
Qualification: The incumbent must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in training/skill development institutes. He/she must possess a Post Graduate degree in Environment, Chemistry, Biological sciences, Economics, Sustainability or allied fields from a recognized university. Doctorate (PhD) is desirable. The candidate should have prior experience in handling academic courses. Also, has a strong willingness to work in a new institution on a long-term basis. Traveling will be required.
Salary and Emoluments: Negotiable.
Tenure: 3 years contract
Joining Time: Preferable that the incumbent should join duty in the 1st week of May 2017.
