Rain Water Harvesting system

Objective: The objective of this study is to gain an understanding of people’s perception on rain water harvesting and the effects of rain water harvesting broadly, the following issues were examined.

  • Understand the kind of rain water harvesting system installed
  • Methods adopted for reuse of rain water
  • Purpose for which the harvested rain water is used
  • Advantages of rain water harvesting, and
  • Problems encountered in the rain water harvesting system.

As per BWSSB records, there are 29,142 rain water harvesting installations in the city as of November 2011.A sample survey was conducted in households and non – domestic units that have implemented rain water harvesting to understand the above raised questions.

National Green Skills Conference 2017

                 "Green Skills for Green Economy" 

                   6th & 7th July 2017 @ NIMHANS Convention Centre , Bangalore

CSD in association with NSDC successfully conducted the National Green Skills Conference,2017. More than 200 participants and 50 delegates from various Renewable energy and skill development institutions attended the two days long conference and made it a grand success.
