Assimilating Best Water Consumption Practices in Bangalore

Study on present water use practices in Bangalore city for Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board

About the project: study under taken up for BWSSB in Jayanagar 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th Block. Preliminary findings of the study presented to BWSSB and final report is prepared and submitted. The findings indicates that about 92% of the respondents have positively responded to life style changes and agreed to save water by adopting simple practices. The study approached 2138 consumers, out of this 1042 (48%) have been put under daily and weekly monitoring. While analyzing impact of life style changes on water consumption during monitoring period of five months (June 2009 to Oct 2009), 530 consumers could save watere to extent of 9.32%. the quantity of water saved was 8.48
